An Oregon Wedding

The reason why we came to the high desert cowboy land of northeast Oregon,

to the Painted Hills

to the middle-of-nowhere tiny town of Spray, to the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it hamlet of Kimberly

and to Diamond Hitch Ranch was for the wedding of my beautiful niece Liz Lovelock and handsome hunky Matt Allen. Liz carried a bouquet of wildflowers, they made their vows under the gaze of the mighty ‘Wedding Cake Rock’,

we showered them with lavender buds, toasted them with sparkling mead,

and feasted on delectable local fare

including a wedding cake dripping in the honey that Liz and Matt collect from their own beehives.

Wishing the gorgeous couple all the happiness in the world.

This is what the bride & groom and a fair number of their wedding guests, including us, were doing just a couple of hours before the wedding ceremony!
